Growing through fear..

“You’re travelling alone?”


Yep :)


“Aren’t you scared?”


Yep! :)


Fear is something that we all face in one way or another. Fear of failure, not being good enough, change.. the list could go on & often fear is at the route of the reason behind not doing something.


If I had listened to fear from others perspectives or gave in to my own fear, I wouldn’t have opened myself up to travelling alone. To have left a comfortable life in England nearly two years ago. Or to have even carried on travelling when times get tough.


But fear still holds me back from growing in many ways.


When I look deep into why I’m not moving forward with something, it’s often fear holding me back.


Fear alerts you to an area of your life that is potentially limiting you. It is healthy to experience fear!


Physically, when you feel fear adrenaline, dopamine & seretonin is released in the body. Chemicals which can give you energy and the motivation to take action.


But it can also be a block.


What helps me when fear is holding me back is to think about past times when I overcame fear & what the outcome was, because usually whatever I was scared of was completely irrelevant in the end..


What matters is loving and understanding your fear to see how it is trying to help you & come out the other side.
